The plan covers the expenses towards All day-care procedures. That don’t require 24 hours of hospitalization.
- Pre Hospitalization Expenses
Pre hospitalization expenses mean that the type of expenses incurred before a patient is admitted to a hospital for inpatient treatment. Pre-hospitalization covers 30 days before hospitalization.
- Post Hospitalization Expenses
Post hospitalization expenses are referring to those medical expenses which we incurred for the follow up treatment for which you were hospitalized. Post-hospitalization covers between 7% of sum insured for nursing, surgeon/consultant fees, diagnostic expenses, drugs cost only and max- Rs.10000.

- Emergency Ambulance

ROOM RENT
This plan has a room-rent limit of up to 1 % of sum insured up to a maximum of Rs.10,000.
ICU RENT
This plan has a room-rent limit of up to 2 % of sum insured for 10 Lac & 15 Lac and actual for 20 Lac & 25 Lac.
Co pay for claims on Pre-Existing Disease
This plan has pre-existing disease based co-pay equal to 50% Co-pay applied on all PED Claims.
Co-pay for Claims on other than PED Claims
This plan has claims on other than ped claims-based co-pay equal to 30% Co-pay applied on all Non-PED Claims.
Co-pay for Claims on PED Claims
This plan has claims on PED claims-based co-pay equal to 30% Co-pay applied on all Non-PED Claims
Waiting Period in Star Senior Citizen Red Carpet Plan:
30 days waiting Period
For any disease contracted by the insured that are not applicable to hospitalisation arising out of Accident.
12 months waiting Period
Pre-Existing Diseases (PED) declared in Proposal, Accepted and Endorse in Policy.
24 months waiting Period
Veins Ulcers, Hernia, Fistula/Fissure, Congenital internal Disease -For full list refer Product Boucher.
Permanent Exclusions in the Star Senior Citizen Red Carpet Plan:
- Attempted suicide
- Use of alcohol or drug
- AIDS
- Congenital disease
- Naturopathy treatment
- Infertility and in vitro fertilization.
- Hospitalization out of war, riot, strike and nuclear weapons
